Submissions are OPEN for Issue 29: FLOOD.
BHJ29 is seeking creative works that engage with the concept of flood, in the broadest possible sense. Interpretations of this theme can range quite liberally, but we wish to focus on experimental works that engage with concepts of cycles, tides, disaster and rebirth; groundswells of hope and sudden, crushing defeat; sinking and swimming, saturation and repletion. When you’re breathing underwater, no one can tell when you cry.
Please submit a maximum of five pieces to: bathhousejournalsubmission
For submission guidelines for upcoming issues, refer to the latest post to our Blog page.
BHJ is an online, hypermedia journal curated, edited, and overseen by the graduate Creative Writing program of Eastern Michigan University’s English Department. With a focus on interdisciplinary and hybrid arts especially emphasizing language innovation, BHJ seeks to present works that upend convention and blur the lines of form and genre.
